Lila Hurwitz, Co-Producer, Board Member
Lila supports artists of all disciplines with strategy, fundraising, management, and communications via Doolittle+Bird. Long-time clients include Bebe Miller Company, Studio Susan Marshall, Rosy Simas Danse and others. She was a founding co-producer of the world-renowned Seattle Festival of Dance Improvisation.
Andy Russ, Co-Producer, Board Member
Andy is an interdisciplinary artist, designer, and educator, working under the moniker Passive Aggressive Novelty Company. Past titles have also included Music Supervisor for the Merce Cunningham Dance Company and Artistic Coordinator for cellist Yo-Yo Ma's Silk Road Project.
David Henry, Board Member
David retired from the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston in 2019, where he served as the Bill T. Jones Director of Performing and Media Arts. He is a Motion State Arts co-founder and former co-producer.
Shura Baryshnikov, Board Member
Shura is a New England-based artist who works broadly across dance, theater and opera. She co-founded the contemporary dance project Doppelgänger Dance Collective and the Contact Improvisation research and performance ensemble SetGo. Recent choreographic and performance credits include projects at Hartford Stage Company, Trinity Repertory Company, Boston Lyric Opera, FirstWorks, Motion State Arts, Emmanuel Music, The Gamm Theatre, Odyssey Opera, and the Contemporary American Theater Festival, among others. Shura directed Svadba for Boston Lyric Opera, which received the 2023 award for Artistic Creation at OPERA America’s Awards for Digital Excellence in Opera. Shura is an Associate Professor of the Practice at Brown University in the Department of Theatre Arts and Performance Studies where she has held a full-time appointment since 2017. Both a performer and a designer, Baryshnikov is a member of Actors' Equity Association, the American Guild of Musical Artists, and the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.
