About kom terug (2026)
Follow us on an ordinary bike ride as we wind through the country lanes. Our daily reality evolving into something more abstract, where our strong connection is the source for our movement.
About Maira Renee & Saraï Martens
Maira Renee (The Netherlands) began dancing at the age of four and trained at Codarts University for the Arts in Rotterdam. She further developed her artistic voice through the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company Program in Israel, Ballet Junior de Genève, and is currently working with Ballet de l’Opéra Grand Avignon. With the making of kom terug, she explores the intersection of dance and film for the first time, opening a door to a new source of inspiration and possibilities.
Saraï Martens (Belgium) is a contemporary dancer trained at the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp, where she studied for six years and built a strong foundation in classical ballet alongside modern and contemporary techniques. She continued her training at Art Factory International in Italy, deepening her practice in improvisation, floorwork, and partnering. Saraï later joined Le Ballet Junior de Genève, performing works by choreographers including Hofesh Shechter, Marcos Morau, Marne van Opstal, and Barak Marshall. She has also performed in Among Dualities, a piece choreographed by her sister Loïs Martens and created in collaboration with her and her brother, Silas Martens. Most recently, she was dancing with MARCHEPIED Cie in Lausanne, engaging in new creative processes and expanding her artistic horizons.
