About Pulled
Have you ever found yourself within reach of your goals, yet you feel you just cannot take that last step? It can feel almost as if something has tied you down with an invisible rope, preventing you from moving forward. Pulled is the personification of this idea; being within grasping distance of your dreams, but are held back by negative forces in our lives: fear of the unknown, self-doubt, guilt, the list goes on. It’s up to us to find the strength within ourselves to pry that rope away from those destructive feelings and to take control of our destinies. The Âme Project’s eighth film is dedicated to anyone who is struggling to fight for their hopes and dreams, pushing through their inner dialogue and doubts to reach their desired aspirations and full potential. The mountains are calling us. Don’t let the vultures devour your dreams.
About Idalmy Vandepas-Carcache
For nearly a decade, Idy Vandepas has been a proud dance teacher and choreographer. She has produced many dance and musical productions and has impacted the lives of countless students of all ages. It wasn't until the summer of 2021 that she decided she wanted to do something more. She felt inspired to form a dance film company called The Âme Project so as to preserve her vision on film and to share it with a wider audience. Her first film, Headway, was a deeply personal film that dealt with depression and trying to "get out of the woods." It was shown at multiple dance film festivals and viewed by many. Since then, she’s directed and choreographed numerous other films, each of which hold a special place in her heart. She's eager to continue on this journey and is looking forward to creating even more thought-provoking works. She would like to thank all of her Âme company members and her husband for sharing her vision and for all their love, support, and dedication to creating something timeless and beautiful.
