About Darnell “Snoopy”Brown

Darnell “Snoopy” Brown is a movement artist whose work embodies originality, knowledge, and determination. Rooted in his Jamaican heritage and shaped by Hip Hop culture, Snoopy uses dance as a means of conversation, purpose, and storytelling. Through his artistry, he chooses to amplify the voices of Black men as well as community and preserve traditions through authenticity. Expanding his impact beyond dance, he is dedicated to fostering men's mental health and healing, while simultaneously developing “The Mixtape Series’” a program that explores the performance, music, and the many informative layers of Hip Hop history through filmmaking. Snoopy aims to leave behind a legacy of empowerment, cultural pride, and collective transformation through dance guided by his personal mantra: “Inspire to Create, Create to Inspire.”
