About Angie
Angie Hauser’s work and research is grounded by questions of improvisation, performance and collaboration. She has collaborated with dance artists Bebe Miller and Darrell Jones since 2000. She was awarded a “Bessie” Award for Creation and Choreography for her work with Bebe Miller Company. Angie’s other dancemaking projects include her 20year collaboration with dance artist Chris Aiken, as well as projects with Mike Vargas, Jennifer Nugent, K.J. Holmes, Kathleen Hermesdorf, and Alex Springer/Xan Burley. She has taught dance, improvisation, and choreography throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and in Colombia and Peru. She received her MFA in dance from the Ohio State University. She is currently a Professor at Smith College in the Department of Dance.
