About Alfonso Sales

Alfonso Sales is a filmmaker based in the Philippines. As a cinematographer, he has collaborated with other artists for music videos, digital advertisements, and various short films that have made it into several film festivals locally and internationally.

In high school Alfonso’s interest in street dance spurred him to join the competing team of the La Salle Green Hills Airforce. His passion as a dancer continued to grow so he also became a member of  the Team Elite dance crew in college.

Alfonso earned his Digital Filmmaking degree from De La Salle College of Saint Benilde. His hobby as a toy photographer made him pursue cinematography and directing. After graduating he worked as a third camera assistant in CMB Film Services. During his stint with Unitel Straight Shooters Media Inc., he served as a production assistant during the Coke Studio Season 2 production. He also acted as a director and cinematographer in Alike Media. He currently creates content as Sky Solitude Pictures.

Dancing has always been his first love but now as a filmmaker, he believes he can do more by bringing film and dance together to craft endless possibilities.

About the Kali Twins

The Kali Twins are identical twins that love hip hop, specifically specializing in Locking. They are a Locking Duo from Manila, Philippines. The duo consists of two Locking choreographers, Juan Gabriel Villarosa and Juan Diego Villarosa. Juan Diego is currently a member of Legit Status while Juan Gabriel is a member of CSB Romancon. The twins are also the Locking head choreographers of Legit Status and the La Salle Green Hills Airforce.

They were inspired by the great Japanese Locking Duo, Hilty and Bosch, and they studied their moves only through Youtube. They used this internet platform to get to where they are right now. Their craft and skills in dancing further grew under the mentorship of Coach Vimi Rivera, who is a highly accomplished and respected dancer in the Philippines.

The title “Kali Twins” came from their seniors who knew their older brother, Kali, but couldn't distinguish the twins from one another, so they just called them Kali Twins, and from there, the twins carried this name with pride to this day.

Diego and Gabriel won a lot of competitions under the La Salle Green Hills Airforce, Legit Status, and as the Kali Twins. From Sketchers Street Dance Battle, National Dance Competition, Smart Jump In - under the LSGH Airforce year 2014-2015, and HipHop International 2015-2018 - under Legit Status, winning Champions to 3rd, with no other place below that. Their latest victory was in the dance film Duel (directed by their senior, Alfonso Sales)  which has won several awards across different film festivals around the globe.
